PeekChurs.

When I go on photowalks I tend to get really frustrated because I can't seem to capture an image the way I want. I have this vision of what I want a photo to look like, but it never turns out that way. I can be pretty harsh on myself when it comes to things like that.

Also, I am still shy about taking pictures most especially of people. I love seeing old men at the park playing chess, cards or mahjong & they just look like a picture perfect moment. I just feel like a stranger taking my picture would make me feel awkward. I would hate to make people feel awkward. I can't wait until my brother gets here, I'll have the opportunity to use him as my subject & the city as my backdrop. Plus, I know he'll be more patient with me & perfectionism.

Anyway, here are some pictures from my last photowalk that despite not being what I wanted, I still enjoy.
I've started a series of these photos.
All taken with my headphones on, at the Subway platform waiting for the train to come.

I'm just glad it was such a beautiful day. Going on my walk helped me explore another part of the city that I would've never found otherwise.

& as far as technique goes, seeing this quote makes me feel a little better..
"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
